Himichu no Ayako-sama - 1

So I know you all remember that Champion RED series I was talking about. Well, this is it! The first chapter is kinda overkill in exposition, but it's not too bad and the later chapters are much better. This series is kinda like Sora no Otoshimono in terms of fanservice, but not quite as good in the comedy department, and (so far) it doesn't have a particularly serious storyline. Still, it's pretty good overall.

There are some kanji that were specified to be read as french words, but in the credits page I gave definitions for some of them. If I missed one you don't get just post a comment here. Other than that, sorry for the somewhat low raw quality, but it's a magazine scan and trust me the actual pages DO look like this (ie. blacks aren't fully filled in). Update 6/1 - I just thought that the page numbers might cause problems for some people's readers (and watashiwa7 confirmed it as I went to update this). So all DDL links have been replaced with a v2 where the page numbers are numbered as 01, 02, 03, etc. so that the first 10 pages aren't out of of order. I really wish CDisplay would read things in the same order windows does, maybe I should make my own reader that does? Also, here's page 03 from this chapter with the title on it. I decided to typeset them after all while I was working on chapter 2.

Umisho - 80

2 chapters within just a few hours!? I must be crazy. No, seriously, fuck cleaning this chapter with all of Takeda's detailed reaction faces covered in text. Well, it was a text-heavy chapter but at least you know who the new captain is.

Also I've gotten a few e-mails that asked about various things, and one thing people were curious about was the size of the staff here. So to answer any future e-mails: yes, it's just one person, and has been since the start (except the obvious joint with otakami). I may be looking into finding some photoshop masters over the summer in order to go balls out on projects though.

Umisho - 79

Umisho 79, done! I translated one line as "gang leader type woman" and the actual Japanese states Female Banchou (Banchou is like the head delinquent/ gang leader of a school). Figured I'd put that here so that anyone familiar with the term will get a better understanding since the word banchou has some connotations that come with it.

Also, at present I will be replacing my Young Ace order with Gangan Joker. This means I can scanlate some of the missing Yandere Kanojo chapters when I get it as well as some other things (a series about Saten's ghost version possibly, can you guess what it is?)

Lastly, I am discontinuing the readme from this chapter onward (for now), but if you read the previous ones please read this one as it is different and contains information about why I'm stopping it for now. Anyway, links below:

Umisho - 78

Here we go, chapter 78! I forgot to mention earlier that I have someone to clean NEET Princess Terrass for me now. It's shin, aka the guy cleaning/typesetting AtLS, and basically I'll release those chapters as I get them from him. Also, I'm leaning towards not buying young ace now (not for sure one way or another) but if anyone has some favorite series that's missing a volume or part of some current magazine post a comment about it because I need something to replace YA in my order if I decide to forgo it. Carat - 4

Here it is, finally got a start on it. There's still one more chapter in volume 1 that I'm not in a big hurry to work on since I have nothing to work on after that for this series yet. Anyway, this series is actually pretty good despite only being 2 volumes. If you like Umisho you'll probably like this, it's basically a parody of typical magical girl type manga/anime. It has a similar style of comedy plus Kanon's reaction faces are god-tier; surpassed only by reaction faces in Yankee-kun to Megane-chan (which you should also be reading if you like these series). Also, I updated the readme (again) because more people that I thought read my releases. Ok that's enough of that, links incoming:

Umisho - 77

Again, no cover page (if you can even count the start of each chapter as a cover page in Umisho) because awesome 2 page spread. Scratch that, tribute to Brotonashi for being an awesome person.

Also I noticed that a mixed up an messed up version of page 28 in the last chapter. It was before I noticed I misread something and changed "Now then..." to "Sanae" (Kise's first name). Umisho - 76

So I normally just post the title page, but I figure DAT ASS was worthy of an exception.

Unrelated to this chapter, I'm looking for an editor to clean the pages for another project I want to do but don't have the time to do all the work right now. It's called NEET Princess Terrass and there are 4.5 chapters in the series that haven't had any work done on them in the last 2 months; each chapter is about 30 pages. Photoshop or a similar program is a requirement (ie. not MS Paint), and while I appreciate the thought please do not apply if you don't have at least a little experience editing. E-mail me if you're interested.

New Stuff

First and foremost, I finished my paper! Onto the main topic, you may be wondering "new stuff? What the hell where's my Akuma to Love Song and Domina no Do!" Well rest assured, there will be a double release of AtLS tomorrow and I'll have Domina out tomorrow as well thought it may not be until 12-1 EST depending how much work is needed.

The new stuff that this post is about, is that I plan on adding Dragon Age to my repertoire. I do so mainly because of Kore wa Zombie (pic above), but I also like quite a few other series in it. As such, I will probably end up doing a few series (TBD) as well as possibly providing for other groups already doing series in Dragon Age.

Trivia: The above picture is actually the last issue of Dragon Magazine I received which is mainly light novels and is a bi-monthly publication. Oh, and vote in the poll!

So, I lied about putting this off for a few days since I unexpectedly got a few hours free so we shall now begin volume 6. Sadly, it is still a cliffhanger (sort of) but the good news is this volume came with 30 color pages of omake stuff. Plana-chan - 3

After much delay here is the first series from CRED, Plana-chan! I have a paper due and a test after the weekend so Domina will probably be around sometime after that. I may do a quick Umisho chapter though. Also if any of you care to know, Kore wa Zombie Desu ka? is getting an anime adaption from its light novel form. The story is pretty decent but I don't think anyone has translated it and I sure as hell am not doing it (trust me, it's for everyone's benefit). Also something I keep forgetting to add: Carat! is officially picked up since CatzCradle ordered the second volume and will be scanning that for me so give his some thanks. Links incoming:

Update - Can't believe I forgot to put this up, but in chapter 1 I translated one line as stating Plana turns back to normal once she splits into 30. This is obviously not true as is evident in this chapter (the meaning of the kanji the author was going for was minutes rather than pieces) so here's a fixed version of that page. Sorry for any inconvenience in this plot-heavy manga; I'm sure you were all outraged at such a mistake.

Yandere Kanojo - 16

So yeah about that Plana-chan and Domina no Do, they're pushed back another day. In return, have some Yandere Kanojo which reminded me just how much of a pain typesetting to fit vertically stretched bubbles is. It made Umisho look easy. Also I skipped out on cleaning the title off the title page because hell if I'll be arsed to spend an hour or two on something that won't even come out that great that people only look at for 5 seconds.

Umisho - 72

Various circumstances have prevented me from finishing any CRED series for today (read: Raiding ICC took forever and so did my paper). So I just translated this while AFK'ing in ICC and typeset it after writing my paper. I also have to be up in 4 hours, wasting 1.5 hours on this was probably not smart, but I felt I should do SOMETHING for today since I couldn't do CRED stuff. Sorry for any errors, read credits for note about empty bubbles, and thanks to Watashiwa7 from AnimeLab for sending me a bunch of fonts to use. Umisho - 71

It's here at last! I've been trying to get ahead on AtLS to free up some time for Umisho and the coming CRED stuff and earlier today I finished my TL for AtLS 34 so I decided to do a Umisho chapter since it's only 10 pages. Typesetting was a bit of a pain but I got it to fit nicely for the most part.

I could use a few more fonts to match up with the manga though. I must have spent 45 minutes looking for a font that was used twice only to give up and go with wild words. Hopefully in the future it'll look nicer, maybe I'll switch to manga temple. Feel free to suggest any fonts you know that would look better. Typesetting comments end here, links below:

Akuma to Love Song - 30

Here we are, chapter 30. I'm liking mute girl more and more every chapter; I was dying on page 11 when she meets up with Maria finally. Anyway, no fancy notes or anything here other than fewer SFX will be replaced with English from now on since cleaning them is a bitch. Plana-chan, Franken Fran, Domina no Do!

Waiting for downloads to finish, so I thought what the hell I'll post something. After what I am hoping was just a Golden Week delay and not how long this should usually take, the next issue of Champion RED should be in my hands hopefully by the end of the week though possibly not until Monday. This means the next chapter of everything in the title of this post and possibly another series that I found amusing but am waiting to see the next chapter of. Oh, and it comes with some bookmarks from Color Wars (read: Ichiban Ushiro Dai Maou) so I guess I'll scan them in if anyone wants the pictures or even wants to make their own.

As I noted earlier I said I'd pick up a new project or two (holy hell it's might end up being three now though, I like too much stuff). One is the series I mentioned above, the second is Carat! if I can find the second volume or someone wants to buy it themselves and scan it in for me. The third is Umisho because the people currently doing it do not seem to have much free time and have been releasing one chapter per month and there are at least 3 volumes of raws available.

Annnnd download is now at 90% so I'll end this by saying you have a 90% chance of seeing AtLS 30 tomorrow, shin is a busy man with much editing to do though and there's always the occasional mishap or two that can occur.

Akuma to Love Song - 27+

So in case none of you went and found 26 yet and read what otakami posted, we're doing a joint now. Basically it'll be me and one of their translators alternating chapters while shin edits them. They'll probably be the ones posting, but I'll try to do my usual links to MF, MU, and RS or at the very least post an entry every time we finish a chapter. This worked our pretty well since I had midterms this week (still have one tomorrow ;_;) and it'll make less work and faster releases. So that's all for now, go to otakami.org for 26 as well as 27 when it's finished, probably sometime this weekend I'd guess.

P.S. - I'll be looking for other projects since I have less work now, probably a shounen/seinen gag series so post suggestions if you'd like.

Akuma to Love Song - 25

So here it is finally after 5 days. Sorry this got pushed back 2 days because of Yandere Kanojo, but hey I wasn't too slow with it right? I rather liked this chapter, I baww'd hard 2 pages from the end.

Also, you may have noticed basically the whole thing is the same font. That's because in the manga the font never really changes aside from the occasional bold font which happens naturally for wild words as it gets bigger anyway. It felt a bit plain so if anyone knows some good shoujo (ie. femine yelling/dialogue/etc.) fonts let me know. Links to 25 located below:
