Plana-chan - 14

Here it is, chapter 14 of Plana-chan~ I don't have much to say about it so I'll go into blog-mode. I'm about halfway through BokuTomo Vol 5 and I must say I can't wait for Vol 6 at the end of the month. Maybe I'll even sub the Drama CD, it's got a pretty awesome cast just like the "Mangaka-san to Assistant-san to" CD did. Also Demonbane is shipping on Monday. Probably anyway. Personally I'm not counting JAST out just yet, I bet they can find a way to fuck things up and add another month long delay. Anyway that's all for now so links below:

Yandere Kanojo - 27

Hijiri so moe~ Once you read this chapter you'll see why I put it in front of Plana-chan. Also I have the next magazine chapter of Yandere Kanojo which is based on April Fool's Day, but that one I will be putting behind Plana (I don't even have it scanned yet!). Also this month the tankoubons I got with my magazines were the 6th edition of The Trap Anthology and Okujou Hime.

Traps are traps, but I doubt many of you have heard of Okujou Hime. There's only one chapter translated that I know of, but if someone can find/buy their own raws and wants to work on the series I'd be up for helping you translate if you need it. It's a pretty good story so far and I like the art style, it kinda makes me think of a fusion between Arakawa (FMA) and Maybe (TOxA). Anyway I don't want to write a huge wall of text so I'll end it here with links below:

Domina no Do - 30

UPDATE - I v2'd because the Monthy Python line is word for word what the Japanese translation of it is and not just a reference.

So unless you've been living under a rock the past 4 months you'd know there was a little anime called Puella Magi Madoka Magica, and if you've been out from under that rock recently you'd know it ended a few days ago. I must say, it was a pretty good ending overall. It fit the theme of there not being any "cure-all" miracles while at the same time providing a satisfying end. Of course some people will claim it was a Deus Ex Madoka to which I will refer you to every fucking episode ever where Kyuubey mentions Madoka could be a god.

There's also the real-deal crowd for whom anything less than soul crushing failure is too Disney and not edgy enough for them. I can't really argue that opinion though I can say that an ending too extreme in any direction is almost always going to be a poor one. Anyway, this really has nothing to do with Domina at all, but I rather liked the series (for reason other than Aoki, I swear!) so I wanted to write something about it. For those of you who don't care what I think about things unrelated to scanlating (almost all of you?) please console yourselves with the links below:

Yandere Kanojo (JOKER) - 26

Here's your Yandere Kanojo (JOKER) chapter 26! Many delays were had due to the earthquake (it forced amazon to ship my order all in one piece instead of multiple ones) but at least it didn't get destroyed or lost! I'll have CRED in my mailbox later today, but I'm probably gonna do Yandere Kanojo 27 before that just FYI.

Also, why are more of you not reading Carat!, it's even got a trap in it! Honestly though, if you like Yandere Kanojo (or any comedy stuff I do really) you'll probably like Carat! so give it a read. It's lonely being the only series to get <400 downloads when I'm pretty sure a lot of you would enjoy it. Annnnyway, that's all for now so links below:

Obviously my other anniversary release had to be something done by Aoki! Also there's no way in hell I was going to clean Yandere Kanojo AND typeset it all in one day. Hard to believe I've been at this for a year now, though it definitely shows both in terms of my release quality and how much faster I can read Japanese now. Rika - 01

This is a new series I decided to translate for kundumstaf (Twincest Scans). It's by the same author who did Yukisaki Milk Tea if it wasn't obvious enough from the art. It's basically Yubisaki except with incest instead of cross-dressing. I probably won't make a specific post each time this is released but since this is the first chapter and all I figured I should to get the word out. Anyway you can grab it on Twincest Scan's blog.

Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai (Novel) - Vol. 2 Ch. 4

So yeah I did this real quick last night and finished this morning. Took me about 2 1/2 hours so the writing might be a bit messy especially since I've never really done book translations. If you're interested in this series and read it let me know what you think of my translation, this is mainly just practice for me. I can definitely tell it can be improved but it's hard to gauge one's own writing. Oh and if you're curious this chapter should be chapter 14 in the manga (ie. the chapter that comes out at the end of April). Anyway that's all so links below:

Umisho - 129 & 130 + Omake (END)

Here it is at last, the final chapters of Umisho. It's been a good run, took me almost a year to finish these ~4 volumes but that's not too bad right!? I didn't translate the omakes because it's not that important and because as you can (or will) see Hattori's handwriting is utterly illegible. I did translate his farewell/thank you note at the end in the .txt file included so read that if you're interested.

I've also got a colored version first chapter of Umisho from Watashiwa7 (Animelab, aka the guys doing Umisho before me) and I've put up a batch of volume 9 for newcomers/people who noticed any of the tiny mistakes I left in. Umisho - 128

At last, the penultimate release of Umisho. Next release will contain 129 which is where the magazine ended, 130 which is a short afterstory drawn specifically for volume 9, and the volume omakes which are basically just sketches of some characters. Once that's done my "between monthly" releases will shift focus to Carat! and then to probably Yandere Kanojo magazine chapters 3-15 (the 3-4 I released before were actually online chapters that I thought were magazine ones). Franken Fran - 48 & Phase 20 - Oneshot

So I don't usually do this for series other groups do the main releases for, but it's been a while since the last chapter got out due to various circumstances around all 3 of us working on Fran so this is just a little reminder/announcement for Fran readers out there who come to my site. I also figured I'd do this to publicize the Oneshot done by Kigitsu (Fran's Author) 2(?) months ago which is kinda like "Lupin III: Kigitsu Version". Anyway if that's your thing you can grab them off Amuro's site here.

Umisho - 127

Delays everywhere! I got too wrapped up in playing MLA, then kept going on and played part of Altered Fable where I fully realized how badly dragged out things can be in MLA. It was already kind of annoying in English, but putting it in ridiculously formal Japanese with obscure words everywhere is a recipe for "Fuck this, back to Himawari (aka Kamina in Space) for now."

I also finished reading volume 2 of BokuTomo which had a pretty sweet ending with Sena getting all in Yozora's face (after being insulted by Yozora for basically an entire page). Anyway, none of this has anything to do with Umisho other than why it took so long to get this next chapter done so links below:

Also I don't have GanGan Joker like I usually do because of Amazon having to change how it ships things temporarily due to the quake.
