Been a while, huh? Well, it's time to fire up the Haganai train again in the hopes that there won't be any more delays on volume 9. I'll be releasing the final chapter of vol 8 soon(ish), but before that you'll probably see some Idol Pretender, Freezing, and Sengoku Youko (not necessarily in that order). Also, once vol 8 is done I'll begin working on Haganai CONNECT and try to have that all done before vol 9 comes out, or at least the important parts. For now though, links below:

Thxs for the release, just a question what's the status of method to make a gentle world?
ReplyDeleteHm, so the adaptation really wasn't kind to yukimura then. Nice to see her develop, even if she doesn't really stand a chance
ReplyDeleteThanks for the release.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to throw in a guess and say that Yozora comes back after a year, and she's completely different and more mild, still with the silver tongue though.
ReplyDeletethanks vexed, for the release
ReplyDeleteI love you, V.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your hard work.
ReplyDeleteTake care of yourself.
Thanks, I was longing for my fix of Haganai and am now overjoyed to hear that you're going to get to translating CONNECT, too.
ReplyDeleteOn a different note:
I found Kodaka's idea of Sena being admirable due to her alleged resilience to be quite preposterous. I'd dare to say that >90% of the cases in which she left the scene crying were the result of her flaws being pointed out by others who made use of more or less drastic measures for doing so. How can you speak of resilience or strength if a person is oversensitive to criticism to such an extent? Naturally if your mindset to approaching life includes the opinion that you're a level above everyone else you have got to be able to get back on your feet, because you're going to be falling flat on your face a lot. Given these circumstances this ability cannot qualify as strength, but rather as a tool of survival.
Now if she had remained unbothered by the fact that Kodaka just ran away following her confession that would have been something completely different, but all we know so far is that she kept coming to the clubroom thereafter which doesn't really say anything whatsoever about her state of emotions. Knowing her though the aforementioned assumption seems to be a very unlikely scenario and perhaps the only reason she kept coming to the clubroom was that Kodaka's cowardice or rather indecisiveness was no secret to anyone leading her to the premonition that he wouldn't be showing up for quite some time. After all Yozora whose main motivation for going to the clubroom obviously is Kodaka didn't show up either after the incident which would support the hypothesis of Kodaka's future behaviour being predictable.
In any case thanks again for the release.
I just felt like sharing these thoughts since for the most part I so far could usually agree with Kodaka's way of thinking while this logic of his seems extremely flawed.
You are thinking selfish. Most of your thoughts are a waste of time because you are not thinking "about" the characters.
Delete"Kodaka's way of thinking" => YOUR way of thinking.
"Kodaka's idea of Sena" => YOUR idea of Sena.
Think about the story, about the characters, about what THEY like, and not about what YOU like.
Obvious shipper troll is obvious.
DeleteAnd the plot thickens...
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chapter. I laughed so hard when Yukimura said she wanted to rape Kodaka and she looks really good in that illustration.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for this
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for all your work so far. Anyway, what is Haganai CONNECT and Universe about? They're extra-info books or something?
ReplyDeleteUniverse is a collection of short stories by different authors.
DeleteIt's CONNECT you should look the most forward to. It explains the history behind the relationship between Sena and her butler Stella. With a plot twist (ain't gonna spoil here)
Connect is the sory told from Yozora's POV. The manga has a chapter based on that novel
DeleteYou sure about that?
Delete"Seeing you right now is making my heart pound incredibly hard. Were I a muscular man, I would pin you to the ground right this instant and shove my roaring self deep into your yaoi hole."
ReplyDelete"I want to rape you, Aniki. I want to pump your yaoi hole full of my burning desire for you."
Best moving lines in the history of romantic confessions.
thanks for the release vexed, and looking forward to the translation of connect
ReplyDeletebend over and show me that yaoi hole
ReplyDeleteThx x 6 billion
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know when volume 9 will be realeased or it is still unknown?
ReplyDeleteIt's been postponed indefinitely. So until they say otherwise there is no release date.
DeleteUnfortunately true. I've never been more agitated from a cliffhanger before
