Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai (Novel) - CONNECT Ch. 1

Phew, I'd planned on having this done yesterday but then I realized the chapter was ~13 pages longer than I thought it was. Also, that's on top of essentially re-TL'ing the first half or so because it came out kinda meh the first time around on account of me having not TL'd the series in a while.

Anyway, CONNECT covers a bunch of back stories for the cast of Haganai, all of which is canon, pretty important and of course interesting, hence why I'm doing it before vol 9. This first chapter covers a backstory for Yozora, which may or may not make you like her more. You can decide for yourself by clicking on the links below:

    Always loved Yozora, but hopefully this will make those haters stop thinking she's a heartless witch.

      After reading this chapter I can understand that the haters calls her a heartless witch.

      "Even if it was an accident, once you've hit somebody—— once they see you as their enemy—— the safest way to end things is by beating them down until their will to fight has been crushed to pieces.

      Yozora was sure of that, for she had always done so up until now."

      One thing I was never able to understand is the reason that Yozora wanted to create recruitment posters. If she wanted a club just with Kodaka and her, what's the point with creating posters since that's an invitation for other people to come in.

      Unfortunately, she ends up attracting the person she has the most grudge towards to her club.

    Woohoo! Thank you so much for this chapter, I've really been looking forward to it :).

    BTW, were you aware that a different translator has begun volume 9 over at baka tsuki? I hope that doesn't change your plans to translate it. I've said this before, but your translations are of a quality you do not find anywhere else. I have forced my way through bad LN translations in the past just to know the resolution of an anime I watched. I read your translations simply for the enjoyment of them. Please keep up the excellent work.

      Yes, I still plan to translate volume 9 as well, as the current work being done on it is pretty lacking and downright wrong in a number of spots from what I saw.

      Here I was wondering the same thing, some TLr named Inaban but it's been on a standstill, I just hope she/he stops cause' I really enjoy the quality of the TL that Vexed offers.
